This policy explains how Riptide Coatings and Finishes ("we", "us") collects and uses information through riptidecoatings.com and when you contact us.
Information we collect
- Quote requests: your name, phone number, email, job address and ZIP code, the service you're interested in, photos you upload, your preferred contact times and your message.
- Text message consent: whether you agreed to receive texts, the time you agreed, and the version of the form you used.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser information, used to block spam and abuse.
- Calls and texts: when you call or text us, your phone number and the content of our messages. We do not record phone calls.
How we use it
To respond to your request, prepare quotes, schedule and perform work, send invoices, and keep records of the job. We don't sell your personal information.
Text messaging (SMS) data
If you opt in, we use your mobile number to text you about your request and your job. Mobile phone numbers and text message opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We only share it with the service providers that deliver our texts. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. See our text messaging terms.
Who we share information with
Only with the service providers we use to run the business (website hosting and spam protection, email, and phone and text service), and only as needed for them to provide that service; or when the law requires it. The providers we use today: Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the spam check on our quote form (Cloudflare Pages and Turnstile). Zoho Mail handles our email. Calls and texts go to a mobile phone line. We don't use customer management (CRM) software yet.
Photos
Photos you upload are used only to assess your floor. We will not post photos of your property publicly without your written permission.
How long we keep it
- Quotes are valid for 90 days.
- Quote requests that don't become jobs are deleted 90 days after the quote expires.
- Customer records for completed jobs are kept as long as needed for tax, accounting and warranty records.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including spam protection on our forms and access controls on our accounts.
Cookies and analytics
This site doesn't use advertising cookies or analytics at this time. Our spam-protection service (Cloudflare Turnstile) may process technical data to tell people from bots.
